Changed to guest

Tried to sync MPX200 with computer this morning but only came up as a guest, so would not sync. Nervous about messing around with settings if it is something simple as I deleted most of the years of info on my home pc when I first set it up.

The phone did die on me last night (what is the record for the shortest battery life?) is this likely to have done it? It has had problems sync-ing in the past, registering then saying it is not connected when I plug it in first thing.

Apologies if I am asking dumb questions - very much the newbie here.

had also the same problem with my spv its more to do with windows than the phone itself .simply unplug the usb from your phone and take the phone out of the cradle and then insert the usb cable again followed by your phone,that should work ...

Are you running ActiveSync 3.7.1?

Paul - thanx for quick reply - Using Activesync 3.6, as suplied with phone.

Peekie - thanx for suggestions - works with not connected problem but not with guest issue...

if you uninstall the active sync and re install it then the programme should find your phone without the name guest , all programes installed before still can be uninstalled as well if needed by clicking on the tools on the menu bar.
