spv battery life after 1.6 upgrade

The battery life of my SPV has always been bad (recharged every 2 days with no use/calls), but since the upgrade this has degraded to 1 day (even though the reaseon I upgraded was for the proposed increased battery life). This has now decreased to 8 hours from fully charged to auto shutoff.

There is no sd card in this so this is not a problem.

Anybody got any ideas.

Thxs in advance

This is a random problem, I have found the battery's charge is not

constant with this update.

After the update, I kept testing my e100 by seeing how long I could go without charging it.

Each test went further than the previous one, until I hit 3 days.

Now that I'm back to charging my e100 nightly (when I put it on the cradle), my battery indicator is usually around 50% after 12-14 hours.

From what I've read, it's not supposed to, but I wonder if NOT keeping the battery constantly topped off helps.

Mine is lasting up to 3/4 days at the moment (SD card in). Only 2 before the update.

Guys

Here is what to do.... (or try!)

Leave the phone out of the cradle and let it complete discharge. Eventually the phone will turn itself off.

Place phone in the cradle and DO NOT turn on! Leave it! After about 3 hours, turn the phone on.

I am now getting a maximum of almost 4 days standby time! I normally allow the phone to completely discharge at least once a month.

And I have to confess before the 1.6 upgrade I was seeing at the most 1 1/2 to 2 days tops! But I certainly believe that the upgrade has helped! I am not the number 1 fan of this phone, but I am certainly hoping that O2 will be introducing the SPV as the Orange Signal in my area is VERY BAD!

And the car kit is no better!!

How long does your "effect" last? 1-2 weeks after draining it, mine goes back to average (1 day, maybe 2) battery life.

If I drain it again, it's good for another 1-2 weeks.

no idea at this stage! But since doing this I ahev to admit its the best I have ever had!

Especially when I consider the battery would be dead in less than 1 whole day..... 16 hours if I recall correctly!
