Guest Jiff Lemon Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Just in the process of getting some SD for my MPX200 and wondered what everyone was using? Was toying with the idea of a 512mb, put wondered if I'd be better with 2 x 256, or even 4 x 128? Noticed a few people are putting DiVx's on the phones - what sort of space are they taking up?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Welcome to the site :) Divx movies will take around 80MB depending on length of film and the encoding etc. As for cards I'm on a 64MB at the moment but also use a 32MB and a 128MB when it's not in my Axim.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I've just ordered a 512 but unless you want to carry around loads of MP3s and/or films it's probably a bit OTT. Given that you'll be loading your games and apps onto the card (with short-cuts on the phone) I don't quite see how multiple cards will work in practice. The price of 512s (at least from e-buyer / buzzlghtyrby) is pretty good right now :)
Guest ferret Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 1 x 256 Which I always use 1 x 128 With only wma I carry in my wallet 1 x 64 That came free with my Dad's camera (never use) 1 x 8 Came with phone (never use)
Guest mike-oh Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 1 x 256 (in the post) 1 x 128 not enough really, you can soon fill it. Will probably live in my wallet when i get my other one 1 x 16 came with mpx200 dont use 1 x 8 came with spv, dont use either
Guest The Lostprophet Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 using 256 card, has got a few simpsons and a few southpark episodes, all u need really :):D:D
Guest daviesimpson Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 16MB is enough for basic programs etc. but if u start loading up lots of pics, midi, wave & mp3 files then the more the better. I have a 128mmc card. SD cards have the lock function which eats 100k from the card & they cost a few quid more. The MPx200 can take a massive 1GB card but the cost will burn a hole in your wallet.
