Guest mcwarre Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Well eventually my Krusell Case arrived today:) First impressions? It is a quality product. All the ports and buttons are accessible (IR, on/off, volume, charge, SD, headphones). This is the first time that I have had a Krusell and their selection of multidapt accessories is cool. Me? I went for the belt adapter. It is a secure fit and easy to place the phone in / get it out of the adapter. Additionally, it know means that the lovely MPx won’t get any more scratches from being in my pocket! (although these can easily be removed) Problems Well you can't place it in the cradle with the case on it just won't fit. Still that doesn't bother me too much as I have a retractable synch n charge Of more importance is that the top half off the case can come off when opening. This really annoyed me until I realized it can be solved in one of two ways. Firstly, make sure that the top half of the case is really pulled down onto the phone. Secondly, a tiny amount of bluetack on the inside of the top of the case stops it without leaving any marks! Overall Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if taking the phone out of the case to synch doesn’t bother you (unless of course you disconnect the cradle and plug the cable direct into the phone) and you have ensured that the top half of the cover is attached properly.Krusell Case Review.jpg

Guest mcwarre Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I don't see where you bought yours but these guys seem to have it. http://www.executivepda.com/HTML/Products/...accessories.htm Follow Krusell Case as in top post. They are based in the UK and the case is cheaper!
Guest andysalmon Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I'm not too sure I want to pay £16 and then fix something with a bit of blue tack :!: :!:
Guest smeg36 Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 How does this one compare to the one I got on ebay for $.99? They look pretty similar from the picture, but there has got to be something wrong with the one I ordered (haven't recieved it yet) for it to cost so much less? Anyone tried the one on ebay?
Guest Shuflie Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Got mine through today as well. I've also found that the top was a bit tricky to get to stay in place when the phone was opened too, however if you look at where the leather strap holding the top part fits into the bottom you can give it a slight squeeze either side which makes it spring back into place when opened giving a more secure fit. I'm not sure how well this will work in the long run though so I may give the bluetak fix a go at a later date.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I converted my old Startac case using a bit of elastic and thread hehe :)
Guest andysalmon Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Strange that people are willing to make do when they like the phone :D I got 4 days standby the other day :)
Guest spartanrob Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 How do you feel about having plastic over the keys, that has bothered me in the past.
Guest mcwarre Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 My initial thoughts were OMG no! However the plastic is not cheap and nasty like cling film so I don't really notice the difference. Additionally it is very tight fitting which makes key press easier. Other cases have plastic over the internal screen (this doesn't which causes the need for bluetack) which IMO would take away from the display. Would I still recommend it after 2 days play? Yes, although I don't use that lovely cradle any more.
Guest Shuflie Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 If I had a spare cradle I'd try milling a piece out of the center to allow the phone to slide in, it looks as if the problem is the multiadapt connector on the back of the case.
Guest rchiileea Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 lol you have got a spare cradle obviously you wont be using it no more so that makes it spare within 2 days of getting case ill post piccies ofmod if its poss ill plan the schematics on firms comp(size of two double fridges)if its poss ill do it if not whell ill still try any way if i do it ill do pics
Guest andysalmon Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Used this guy before, very good service :) As always, early adopters get stiffed on prices :!:
Guest orangesp Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 You can buy it from this site in the UK: MPx200 Krusell Case £14.99
Guest rchiileea Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 MMMzzz mabye you got a dud case tbh plus in ure photo elastic connector from base to top looks much longer than mine did you stretch it to far cos mines fine no bluetak needed.. a lot off krussel cases do this if you try to stretch elastic to far(Rember they never put it there for you to see how far it stretches) will do more add some piccies and mabye a smartphone playable divx showing opening and closing without top coming off any one else apart from reviewer got a falling off top did u try and see how far it stretches??? trust me ive seen so many people buy a krussel flip case and over stretch elastic(doh i wonder how far elastic stretches)my phone man(shop owner) would never sell a krussel flip case without telling customer about not seeing how far elastic goes he and i would not accept a return on a over stretched elastic   edit looking at ure elastic again in photo it twice size of mine when top off lol
Guest mcwarre Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Rich, Not just me see here (3rd post on page). And no I didn't see how far I could stretch it!
Guest rchiileea Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 mmmz been opening and closing phone like a nutter and top wont come off only when i do it just wondering whats going on tbh will try to get some pics later
Guest Ukyo Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 No one believes in plastic holsters anymore? hehe I just ordered mine from ebay. Hopefully it'll fit right...
Guest mcwarre Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Hi Ukyo and welcome to the site. Do you have a link for your case???
Guest andysalmon Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 Still haven't sent mine back, but still very hacked off. It wouldn't have been hard during production to make the top part bigger, therefore fitting better. Oh, and by the way I have not feckin' pulled the elastic. RU pulling our collective plonkers?
Guest abatis Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 just a followup. I ordered a case from these folks http://www.executivepda.com/HTML/Products/...accessories.htm I also bought the krussel swivel clip so it was a little more comfortable . And it fits the mpx perfect. It has an elastic backstrap that keeps the screen cover on. Recommended if you want a folding case.
Guest andysalmon Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Erm, this is the case that so many of us are disappointed with :!: ...still if you're happy
Guest deavod Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 For another opinion take a look over at the post on MPx200.org Krusell Review at MPx200.org There are two (minor) drawbacks to this case. 1) It makes the phone rather WIDE with the belt clip. The phone used to be small enough to slip into a pocket. Not with the belt clip attached! 2) The really nifty sync cradle is now useless. I have 2 of them (one for work, one for home) and now I don't use them.
