Does anybody else experience an slow rate of transfer between windows explorer and the smartphone storage folder? It feels like my SD card reader is a lot faster than when I try and put data on the card via the phone.

Yep, it slows to a crawl when you use explorer to transfer files to the SD card. If you have a card reader I'd highly recommend using that instead of explorer.

I find it's even slower than my original SPV when transfering in the cradle and that was very slow.

All in one USB card reader in the post with a 256megger joining it!

I experience the same thing with my phone and Ipaq. I now pop the SD card out of the device and transfer data.

Thanks for the response. I updated my ActiveSync to 3.7.1 from 3.6. In the list of updates it says it address the issue of slow transfer speed but after installing it doesn't seem to be any different. I think I will stick to using my card reader.

On another note has anybody noticed that when you drop files on to the SD card using the phone and Explorer Windows Media Player does not pick up any new files. You have to take the card out and pop it back in for the phone to refresh the content of the card. Yet another reason to use a card reader.

I find that menu > local content overcomes this. :)
