Guest whorwood1 Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 you dont need any special software to make your own ringtones, just split an mp3 into which ever bit you want, convert to wav using, music match jukebox or anyother encoder, then open up in windows sound reccorder, and convert to PCM 22.050 KHZ 8BIT MONO 21KB/S, .....SIMPLE

Guest whorwood1 Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 to be honest i couldnt be bothered to make a turtorial, if you still cant make your own ringtones, then you dont really derserve to have a smartphone (harsh i know!) as if you cant do that then your cant optimize your smartphone, at the mo got a mitac mio 8380 512mb sd card, and have terminator 3 full film and finding nemo full film on my phone (For my little bro) lets start a thread what you got on your smartphone. also anyone know or have any news on the update for msn messenger as i have tralled thorugh hundreds of sights and still know nothing?
Guest louisg Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 to be honest i couldnt be bothered to make a turtorial, if you still cant make your own ringtones, then you dont really derserve to have a smartphone (harsh i know!) as if you cant do that then your cant optimize your smartphone I think that is quite a arrogant answer, not everyone is computer efficent as you are. Smartphones are amazing pieces of hardware and some people are put off buying them because they are worried they wont be able to use them properly. But with sites like this and cool smartphone.com help is at hand. Please dont look down on people who are not as clued up as yourself, your talents could be used to give others the same pleasure as you. Regards Louis
Guest whorwood1 Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 fair play, i was just in a bit of a mood keep getting newbies asking me how to make ringtones and if i could make them some, just got on my nerves a bit! have finally found the update for the mitac 8380 to fix the msn problem works like a dream at long last no more of that agile messenger also gets rid of all that chinese that pops up at the start and has made it a bit quicker and more stable i highly reccomend it.
Guest mardig Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Like many here, my customized ringtones work fine for the phones standard ringtone, but do not work when selected from the contacts as a custom ringtone. Anyone have any clue what is going on. I have used a number of .wav pcm uncompressed formats with no success. I'm beginning to believe this is simply a bug in the phone software. If you have a solution or the same problem, let us know here.
Guest whorwood1 Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 i dont have that problem on my mitac, but seeing as that seems quite a common problem i assume its a bug
