E200: should i buy? (bluetooth query regarding internet)

You can connect to the internet over bluetooth but you need activesync running, so the pc will need to be on. You can't just connect to the router like you could say with a Pocket PC.

Unfortunately, it's by design. The E200 Activesync software will establish a serial connection over bluetooth, but you cannot connect directly to a router via bluetooth.

Some thoughts...

It is possible that a software solution could solve this, I would imagine; in the same way Activesync on the spv2 connects to the serial profile, surely an app could connect to another bluetooth profile type? I think MS use a custom stack so perhaps not!

Or could you dial from the router into the e200 using the SSA profile?
