Smartphone 2003 on MPX 200

Anyone know if there is/will be an upgrade?

It seems idiotic to me that the MPX-200 was release with Smartphone 2002 just a few short weeks before 2003 was available.

the word on the grapevine is that there will be an upgrade to wm2k3 this year.

the problem is that moto are going to release it to the networks for customisation and its upto the network to release it to us.

We confirmed that the MPx200 model will have an upgrade to Smartphone 2003 released from Motorola. The one caveat given was that while Motorola will release it, it will be up to the carriers to release it to their customers after customizing for their branded units.

I would not hold my breath though as 2003 on the mpx200 would not realy improve it that much, and with the release (very soon) of the MPX220 would the networks waste resorces?

What I have read is that it is going to be released by Moto, who will then give it to ATW. Since ATW isn't going to be carrying the MPx220 (another rumor I read), it would be entirely reasonable for them to release it. I am not going to care that much if they don't, but I would be pretty happy if they do.
