I have seen a player which says it plays DivX widescreen at full frame rate!.. but page was down. So many versions of players out there.. i'm confused  Any advice or links would be most appreciated.. Regards GP
Guest matt_hobson Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Im looking for a good one too. At the moment all i have d/l for my phone is smart explorer and smartris. What i want now is a good media player. The windows one only plays wmv, wma and mp3's i believe? Also am i right in saying that you have to put these files inthe storage/mydocs folder for media player top pick them up? any ideas would be great Thanks Matt
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 You're looking at PocketTV and/or Pocket MVP both of which are free. :) The former you can get from Smartphone.net etc and the latter is up here somewhere or on monolithix.org You'd better read the respective threads for technical details including how to convert your own vids
Guest matt_hobson Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I now have PocketTV. Although i also have an encoder that can turn mpegs into wmf i think (into file that smartphone media player can run  ) , SO i now have 2 ways of playing them on my phone.
Guest casperr Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 PocketTV has more features and mpegs are nice but file size is much bigger than DIVX files and yes, space is a concern to me because i only have 128MB. The 4min full screen sized DIVX clip is equivalent to a very small screen sized mpeg so I use PocketMVP. Full screen, and quality is awesome too. Tho, you cant fastforward the clip like you can on PocketTV
Guest trashmonkey Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 You can fastforward clips, by using keypad buttons 1-3 or 4-6 i think. If you go to the help menu in pocket mvp it tells you the keys.
