Guest mcwarre Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 I may be being a muppet but has anyone else noticed this (rather than using the power button)? (Press and hold) A lot easier than using the power button. :)
Guest Jiff Lemon Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Hey your right! :D Damn site quicker too :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Agree there been noticed it since I first had the phone but forgot to mention it  but one of the best new features there are :)
Guest phonesmarts Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 what do you mean by the power screen? you mean the place where you can turn airplane mode, switch profiles and such?
Guest JOEJOETHEJOEY Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Whn I hold the Home button, it only shows the Quicklist: 1 Power off 2 Device lock 3 Key lock 4 Aeroplane on 5 - 7 Profile 8 (Not listed for some strange reason) 9 More... No shortcut to Power Screen. Also, what's the difference between the Device Lock and Key Lock function?
Guest ferret Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Also, what's the difference between the Device Lock and Key Lock function? Key lock, locks the keys from being pressed by accident (need for this is debatable on a flip phone!) Device lock, locks the phone for security purposes. So you have to enter a PIN (you choose) to unlock the phone (just like SIM PIN1/2 for SIM cards). Hope I've made sense :) , I'm sure someone can explain it better!

Guest JOEJOETHEJOEY Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Joe, I meant the Quiclist You've confused me evenmore now. When I press the power button nothing happens. If I hold it, it switches off. The HOME button only shows the Quicklist which does not have any reference to the Power Screen you say in the topic title.
Guest mcwarre Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Joe, You should be able to call up the quicklist via the power button (hold it less than you would normally to switch off the phone). Forget the Power Screen Topic Title edited!
Guest Belgarath Krall Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 nice tip, now being made full use of...getting the balance between pulling up the quicklist and screaming it at cos my moto turned off was a fine line
