Hi all! Newbie question about Canary v1.00 on my SPV...

hi all!

trying to unlock the sim in my SPV, but the Canary version is 1.00...

when i run through the unlock process, i get 33%... then 66%.... then it says Invalid Code - Aborting.

i understand i need to downgrade the bootloader to 0.98? how easy is it to do, and can u post me a few links?

To downgrade the bootloader you either need to use Winhex and

find a copy of the bootlaoder on the net.

Or an easier method it to find someone who can copy the bootloader onto an SD card using USBTerm then you can load the copied bootloader onto the phone.

hmmm i managed to upload the orange 1.35 update onto the phone, it changed the bootloader to 0.98 fine, i got my unlock code and all was well, but now... as a lot of other people on here i got the orange sunset screen and thats it... now i need to try uploading a newer bootloader or software ROM version onto it to try and get the phone back to normal??

ive tried a hard reset, and that didnt help, now i cant even get to the menu where the hard reset option was, if i go to it its just a white screen :)

canary screen is still there tho :S im confuzzled!!!!

The 1.3.5 update will hang on the sunset screen when installed on the E100

All you need to do (now you have your code) is to install one of the updates i.e. the 1.6 update
