Guest madu Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Not sure if this been posted before, just discovered that if you hold # key it changes the outgoing line :) Tested on E100 1.6 (UK) only
Guest c0053659 Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 that function was in my instruction manual for the E200
Guest LarsDK Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 What is the use of the second line?
Guest mek Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 you can have 2 numbers going to 1 phone without swapping sim cards
Guest LarsDK Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 I dont get it, how can you have 2 numbers on 1 sim card?
Guest mek Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 i don't think the second is actually stored on that sim card itself, but diverted from Orange as you don't get a sim card for it. here you go, try this. It should explain it better than me
Guest kalinte Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 this feature is common to nokia units. but nokia have dual sim accessories but i think theres aleardy a dual sim holder for SPV. i havnt seen it yet but it invoves removing the golden strip of two sim cards and attaching it to the said holder. again i've only read about them in this site.
Guest xenaco Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 the feature in question is ALS - Alternating Line Service. 2 numbers 1 sim. available on almost all handsets these days. is also a network feature. i only know of Orange UK that provide it (in the UK). both numbers are stored on the sim, but the network switches need to know which sim to route the calls to. 1 number is your primary (which all additional services work off, i.e. data&fax, gprs, etc). and the 2nd number only services voice calls. geek note : if you ring UK 999 on any line they only see the primary. great now that you dont have to sift thru the menu's to change the line.
Guest mhm Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 cool, tested it on my org. SPV ROM 1.6 works
