Guest kelv23 Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 could do with some tips on this too
Guest rusty37 Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 You need a program called "changer sonneries.cab" go here http://www.airfagev.com/howto.htm and it'll tell you how to load .cab files then the sonneries file lets you access tones on your card. After you've done it, remember if you change an alarm tone for example in programs/settings/sounds. you will then have to go back to the sonneries file and reset your ringtone and sms tone because it gets over-ridden, good luck
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Or if you have an SPV/E100 just use the 1.6 update or I-MateQtek rom then you can place your ringtones in the My Documents filder on the storage card.

That being the case, does this mean the E200 does this right out of the box, as it were then mate? I assume if the update for the E100 integrated this, then it would have also been included in the E200? Oh wait one, why don't I just try it and see... Er, unless I need do a Soft Rest, then NO, it doesn't work on my E200 it seems. Just copied a midi file to the My Documents folder of my Storage Card. Went to Phone Settings > Sound... And its not there. Mmm, so they fixed this in the E100 update, but NOT it seems, in the E200 release?
Guest daviesimpson Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 For all that have the Motorola MPx200. You can store ringtones in the "My Documents" folder on your storage card.

Mmmm - you'd think that if the Moto MPX200 with Smartphone 2002 allows this, then my E200 would. Am I doing something wrong here? Can other users store tones on the Storage Card on the E200 without additional software?
