Guest brb00136 Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Ok, I reflashed my phone using the firmware update- and lost the aws_five_icons_home.xml home Screen. I actually had one saved on my computer prior to reflashing and replaced it under the ISPM..Home folder and it wont recognize the ATMRU plugin. Also the favorites manager is lost and isnt on the motorola disk(this is the only software app that was lost in the reflash as all the rest come with the cd? Does anyone have any suggestions ? Oh and please only post if you know anything about the ATMRU plugin, this is not a firmware topic post. Theres a seperate firmware posting with lots of answers to the many questions on this very forum(look there) thanks
Guest statscat Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 The firmware ROM update won't have the AWS ATMRU plugin included within it as this is supplied by the operator and so is exclusive to there ROMS so thats why its not there in the firmaware version. At a guess using the standard firmware ROM you will be restricted to the Microsoft produced plugins.
Guest brb00136 Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 I know that- the firmware was developed by Motorola. What I want to know is how I can get the ATMRU plugin to work on the new firmware update or if there is a plugin similar that refrences shortcuts(or links *.lnk) Like the ATMRU does?
Guest statscat Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 You CAN'T get it to work because its not there for you to get it to work. The plugin doesn't exist in that build so you are trying to load non existant dll. I don't think there are any freeware "app launchers" other than the one shipped on the AWS and the one shipped on the Orange phone in the ROMs. The microsoft MRU is similar in that it displays links to programs, but it doesn't display fixed links, it shows links to the most recently used applications. Details of the microsoft plugin can be found by clicking on the homescreen keyword. If you want the ATMRU plugin you will need to use their ROM.
