Guest bigblade Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Just upgraded my original SPV to the newer E200 and the battery life is much worse than the original SPV. Any hints or tips to save my battery life much appreciated. The new phone is superb and I do realise that the more applications it has then the quicker the battery wipes out but mine is only lasting just over a day.
Guest ferret Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Try a search and you'll learn all about removing the SD card, BT etc!
Guest ewen-20003 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 when you first got the phone, how many hour charge did you give it, because it is a Li-Ion battery they dont take long to charge and seems to be charged but it is advised to charge for 6 hours The standard battery life is: Battery Life: - talk time 3.0 hours - standby 3.0 days And dont forget this is not only a phone. After going into applications or programs the phone stores that you have been there so you can: Go into you main menu> more> more> then accessories then task manager and end the processes. make sure bluetooth or infra red is not permently switched on this drains the battery like i dont know what. i would advise to drain the battery and charge for 6 hours and keep the above in mind when using it, Hope this helps :)
Guest Sonicr360 Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 I would also recommend a few discharges and recharges! I own an E100, and the first time I had the phone, I was extremely hacked off with the battery life! The new upgrade "has" helped, but I definetely found doing a complete discharge, leaving the phone off, then recharging for about 6 - 8 hours helped! I also want an E200, but like you, the battery life puts me off a little! But I am hoping I can do an upgrade.... £100 I believe! Not sure if that is a good deal or not! But I dont want to but the E200, only to find a NEW phone has come out!! Actually I am not a fan of Orange at all, so I am praying BT (or O2) will bring out this phone in the UK! Simon Simon
