Guest Yousaf Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Hi guys, apologies in advance if this has been covered as i was unable to find via searching but i have re-arranged the folder menu so that my shortcut icons are in various folders. However because of this my icon bar on the main screan does not show my icons as the links are to them are no longer valid. How to i get the icon bar to point those shortcuts to the new location of my icons (e.g. ie, inbox ect ect) I managed to do this with the origional SPV by just having duplicate copies of the respective short-cuts in the start-meny folder but as hidden files howver it does not seam to be possible to set files as hidden in this folder on the E200. Any help and advice much appreciated and thanks in advance :)
Guest drblow Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 I'm not too sure how you can get the icons to appear if you move the shortcuts in your programs menu, but you can try making your own icons ... check here for a tutorial in making an icon resource for SPV. This will allow you to create your own icons for each shortcut, so you can make them fit with whatever theme you have!
Guest Yousaf Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 thanks dude ill give it a shot :)
Guest statscat Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 You need to edit the XML. The "action" attribute is still pointing at the old LNK (capilalised for clarity) file which is no longer there, update the action paramter to reflect the new path to your LNK files for those apps and you wil be fine.
