How to change bitmap for external LCD on MPX200 (Orange).

First up: hello everyone, and thanks for all the great posts on this site! I've only had my 'phone a few days, but it's already greatly enhanced.

Sorry if this is nothing new, but I thought you might like to expand your themes to include changing the message displayed on the external LCD when the 'phone is open.

I've tried this on an Orange (now unlocked: thanks, alphaflux) MPX200. Create a .bmp based on OrangeLogo.bmp in the Windows directory, being careful to keep the same picture format, and save it to somewhere sensible on the 'phone.

Then edit the registry entry

HKEY_CURRENT_USERControlPanelExternalLCDLogoPath

so that the 'value data' is the path to your new picture.

Switch off and on again. That's it.

Worked for me, but no warranties implied, at your own risk, don't blame me, etc.!
