Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 I look forward to trying it out when my dongle arrives in the next couple of days! Mmmmm winamp without having to get out of bed. Every mans dream.
Guest [email protected] Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Very cool app. Dumdidum! Is it possible to launch Media Player on the PC from the Smartphone?
Guest Dumdidum Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Yes it is possible to launch Windows Media Player (which is built-in the app) or Winamp! Only thing you have to do is to create a playlist (up to 9 Playlists supported) and add it to into the server! (right-click on the smily in your system tray after starting server) Unfortunatly selecting song directly is only supported by windows media player and not Winamp! It has still several bugs, if it is not connecting at the beginning, just disconnect and try connecting again!
Guest SeeJ Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Can't get the pc side to install! And its in German! Help!

Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 I've just installed the software - but it claims to be expired! Any ideas? I've rolled my clock back to the 13th to make it work
Guest nedge2k Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Cant get it to install at all! Tried installing powerpoint remote first then running server smiley which seems to work but cant get it to work. How do I view my IP address? At the moment ive been going to www.whatismyip.com, but other sites give me a different IP. Could this be the problem?
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Have you installed the VB runtimes? You'll need them for it to work. You run both installers from the desktop, not from the phone. It'll install over activesync. what kind of internet connection are you using? you internet IP may be differant from your network IP. One of the ways to find you IP would be... Start>Run> Type 'command' in the box > OK type: "ping computername" (where computername is the name of you computer. It'll then display "Pinging COMPUTERNAME [iPADDRESS] with 32bytes of data:" The IP it gives you there seems to work for me, try it on your machine.
Guest LarsDK Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Is there something similar out to the SPV using GPRS?
