Anyone bought/imported an sd camera for their mpx200? Are they any good?

I'm think about getting me one of these Viewtake CM35D cameras.

$139 with the weak dollar at the moment is around £77. I'm wondering if I should take advantage now while it's at this price!

Might be worth it as the current pre-order price in the UK is £89.99

When I last checked on the HelloMoto site it was still saying that it is curntly available but when U click the link and go to the third party retailers site the phone itself isn't even listed so nope... not heard anything yet... am sorely tempted to bring a bunch of em back when I go to the states soon :)

Somebody, somewhere is making a lot of money! The ViewTake SD camera is being sold here in Hong Kong by Motorola at an official price of HKD 470. About GBP 34. Didn't realise VAT had gone up to 100% since I'd left the UK!!!

I bought one. It's pretty cool, but not having it built in is a buzzkill, as you often want it for spontaneous pictures, and having to yank out your existing SD card, pop in the camera, and reboot the phone takes time. Yes, that right, reboot it, as it often does not work with the IA album 2.0 software if you don't reboot it first. :-( Also, it HAS to have IA album 2.0 installed first. 1.6 won't work. No problem if you have the non-USA version, as it's built in, but ATTws decided to remove the software from their build of the mpx200. Nice eh? You can't buy it yet either[iA Album 2.0],

So how many photos can the phone store? Could you transfer photos to the SD card after you taken it with the SD camera?

I'm a little curious too - How on earth are you going to transfer the pictures? I'm presuming that the photos would be stored on the phones internal memory (therefore not many pictures). So then you have to remove the camera, put your SD card in, reboot (??), then transfer the photos across to your SD?

I got my camera today. It stores the pics/videos to the phone, so you just transfer them over to your normal SD card when you pop it back in.

BTW - I don't have to reboot for my camera to work, although it seems to take a couple of seconds to realise that it's plugged in.
