Guest mixermanic Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Hi, is there any way I can get ActiveSync to sync the contacts in the various subfolders I have in Outlook XP? My contacts folder is organised: Contacts - Friends - Family - Business - Services - Companys - Directorys - Etc. etc. At the moment I have to have a copy of everything in these folders in the root "Contacts" folder for it to sync. This can get annoying when I can't remember which ones I've updated!!!! Other than this, I love the SPV :) Thanks, Martin
Guest Jiff Lemon Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Why not move all the contacts into the Root and then assign them catagories? I don't know if it's possible on the SPV, but my MPX lets me then filter the contacts view by catagory.
Guest carlosp_uk Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Yes, that's how I do it too: 1) IN OUTLOOK: *. Move all contacts to the root directory *. Define your master categories - 'Friends', 'Business', etc. *. Assign each contact to one of these categories *. Go to 'View Menu' -> 'Current View' - 'Define Views' *. Create a new view that groups the contacts by category This makes your contacts look fine and sorted in outlook. Now: 2) ON THE SPV: *. Go to 'Home' and choose 'Contacts' *. Go to 'Menu' and selected 'Filter' *. Choose a category!
