Guest NikLP Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Hm... My SPV screwed up the other day, badly. It shouldn't have, but it did. Consequently I need to hard reset it, a mountain of a task to get it back running as normal. But I can't get it to reset. I'm following the instructions on msmobiles.com, which say press and hold the voice notes button with the on/off button (to turn phone on) then when 'press any key to start bootloader' appears, ya supposed to hit the action key. Which I do. Repeatedly. It don't work. I go straight to the Canary screen. Also, ActiveSync didn't recognise my phone when I plugged it in this morning. The IPSM has been completely overwritten, I don't know how, and my Registry Tweak to change the phone name from 'Smartphone' to 'Nik' is obviously not working, is this because of the IPSM wipe? I thought ASync would be cleverer than just using that?? Help? My phone is very poorly... Cheers Nik
Guest nickmumby Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 when you have booted and the phone says 'press any key to enter bootloaderl' you need to hold the action key, not just press it. I had the same problem! hope that helps
Guest NikLP Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Christ... I've tried just about every key combo, including that one. Except this time, it worked. Bloody typical. Thank you kind sir. Nik
