Whats the cheapest place anyones found a right angled 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor? There are a few around that are not right angle but they will result in the plug sticking out a mile once your head phones are in the adaptor.

Cheapest I have found so far is £9.24

from http://www.ipaqrepair.co.uk/view_product.p...php?product=227

Anyone got any other suggestions?

http://www.pc-mobile.net is where I purchased mine from. £3.70 + £2.50P&P was the price at the time I got mine. Check out the site to see if they're still competitive.

How long did it take to get to the UK?

Just a shame you can't buy that along you need to spend $11 - all the other bits for the phone i already have.

But he wants a right angled one so that it doesn't stick out of the side of the phone. i have the one from maplin, it keeps on coming out of the socket because it is so long

As someone else pointed out I want a right angled one as once you have put the adaptor in and then the headphones plug you are talking about a bit sticking out the side of the phone by almost 2 inches! Thats fine if its just sitting in my desk but I am looking at putting it in pockets etc. I normal adaptor would be snapped in minutes I am sure

Hmm..

What about left angled adaptors - do they work :?: 8)

I went the through all my old phonecrap, found a crappy NoNameNokia headset with the angled plug, cut the cable, soldered in a 3.5mm female and I ended up with a superb connector...

You don't have to spend the minimum amount to get that jack, or at least you didn't when I purchased it. At the time they didn't have their separate SPV page. You had to email them for a price for an item for the SPV because those items were, in fact, designed originally for the XDA, but were compatible with the SPV 'cos they've got the same manufacturer.

Just looked at their website again and the payment method of NoChex has been removed. I paid using this method and was allowed to spend just the amount needed to purchase the jack and pay the £2.50 P&P.
