Questions for RichieM, Orangewinger and Nami

Hi - I'm using Namis Angelina Jolie theme on an MPX200 and have a couple of problems with the plugins.

Problem 1. When Richies alarm plugin is selected, the displayed text disappears instead of being highlighted - any ideas?

I found the alarm plugin thread and realised that no amount of me buggering about with the XML will make a bit of difference - I'll wait for Richies new version

Problem 2. When Orangewingers Windows Media Player is selected, the whole block is highlighted WHITE which kind of ruins Angelina so I will use the new plugin and XML, but with a different bmp. Anyone know where I can get icons for WMP?

Problem 3.When I get to the second page of contacts, the picture seems to scroll off the display and the bottom or top part of the picture repeats itself. (I'd show a picture of this if I could).

Dunno about the other 2 things, but the contacts page rolling off screen is just unfortunately how the contacts page deals with background images. It repeats the top/bottom 20 pixels of the image as it scrolls past page 2 & on.

Its just the way it is, so if the background image isnt 100% symmetrical, then you will notice some discrepancy.

If its really upsetting you, why dont you try modifying the image, & then name your image the same as the contacts background, & copy it over to the relevant folder??

The pic is 176 X 180 - I'll try with a fullscreen 176 X 200. Thanks for the tip me old mucker. Incidentally, regarding the problem of disappearing text on Richies Alarm, when I select the plugin using a white background homescreen, the text appears in bold white on black background. If only I could get it to do the same from a dark homescreen... I feel an experiment coming on.

Thats a bit weird!! The colour of the text shouldn't change just because you have a different image!!??

I'd be interested to see the results of your "experiment"! :wink:

Yeah man, straight up. Install Richies Alarm plugin and Namis Angelina Jolie theme. Using Coyote as the chosen background I can clearly see the Alarm plugin text in BOLD white font. Using the Angelina piccie, Alarm text disappears - mental!!!

My guess is that the plugin is painting a black background, with the text as transparent- so against a white background (like Coyote) you see the black background with the white image showing through where the text is- but with the black background image, everything is black.

Maybe try shifting the text so it's over the actual picture instead of the black/white bits and see if it shows through?

(I thought this could be an interesting idea for a homescreen- to have a solid background colour for each plugin with the text set to be transparent when it's selected, with a multicoloured background image that would show through as the text colour when it's selected- can't seem to get it to work though.)
