Encrypted SD card????

Let's say I want to use my MPX200 to backup all my business files and carry it and them with me home every day. But I don't want to have that info accessible to someone who found my phone if I lose it.

Is there a way to incorporate some encryption scheme with ActiveSync plus the MPX200 plus SD card to accomplish this purpose?

For instance, would it be good to just create a PGP or DriveCrypt encrypted volume and ActiveSync it over to the SD card, or is there some mobile phone software I should use.

There are security apps around, one of which is called Code Wallet Pro

this can be found at www.handango.com

ok, let's say i already have an encrypted file, so forget about that part.

the question is, can activesync be set to automatically tranfer a particular file onto my SD card without having to manually do it?

I would want AS to automatically overwrite the old one with the new one from my pc.

Basically, I want to use my phone like an automatic tape backup. can i do that with an sd card plus AS, plus my phone

maybe this is a basic question, but I just dont' know the answer bc I don't yet have an SD card

Unfortunatly then no :)

You could try and use something like smart notes but I don't think this woulds do what you are after I'm afraid.

The only options you be to manualy move the files yourself.

There is another option. You could compress your file(s) using WinZip or another compression program on your PC before you transfer the file. But add a password to the compression via Winzip. So therefore no one will be able to unzip the files on a PC unless they have the password!

There is a way of synching data between PC and phone (assume encrypted works) a new app was announced about 2-3 weeks ago that allows you to synch between folders. Can't find it for the life of me. Ashley, over to you...........
