Dissapearing ring tone???

Hi - i hope someone can help me, I've got an unlocked SPV with the 1.6.1.10 OS. Everything works fine and i love my phone. I've downloaded the Happydays tune for my ringtone, i've put it in the windows directory, i've also downloaded Freespace and put that in the same directory.

I've set the ringtone to happydays and it works perfect. BUT..... every now and then the ringtone dissapears!!! so does freespace!!! when i activesync it up and check the windows directory they really have dissapeared!!

Have i got an evil elf in my house that deletes my files while i sleep :twisted: ,

help would be most appreciated! :)

anything in the /windows directory will be purged (deleted on a reboot)

Put rintones in /ipsm/application data/Sounds (note capital S) > create the 'Sounds' folder if it does not exist

put apps in /ipsm/application data/

Wrong location mate !

Put tones in IPSM/Application Data/Sounds

Put progs in IPSM/Program Files - then copy & paste shortcut in IPSM/Windows/Start Menu using ActiveSynch

Or even better - put progs. in Storage Card/Programs and do the same with the shortcut.

If you put stuff in the Windows folder the ROM over-writes everything when you switch off /on.
