Hi all,

I have the SPV E100. SP 2002.

Is it just me or can you not re-program the predictive text to add words to the 'dictionary'? My old nokia would give me the 'spell' option if it didn't understand or I had toggled between all known words. Then in subsequent occasions it would give the word I had previously entered as the first choice for the combination of key's pressed. very Inituitve. My current understanding of SP 2002's predictive has me somewhat disappointed.

the example that got me thinking about this was trying to write 'bastard' (I was calling ntl bastards for fining me a fiver for late payment even though we still had a week to pay, grrr!)

Anyone have any comments?

Dave

There may be a registry edit but that's beyond me. It's the same with SP2003 on the E200 :)

I've used 2 alternatives :

1. Use the Pre-defined Text Option (in SMS, Options)

2. Write a text with all your favourite cusswords but postpone sending so it gets saved in the Drafts folder. That way it usually recalls the words we use the most

Tip : you'll need to enter a contact so make sure it's someone who will understand if you accidentally send it :!:

2 equally good options. I think I'll try the draft option.
