hi guys,

I want to buy a smartphone, but don't know wich one to buy. Here in Holland we only have the spv, spv e100 and the spv e200. Later this month the motorola wil introduce the mxp 200 in holland. I expect that they will introduce more smartphones (like the mitac 8390) later this year(don't know exactly when this will be???). Should i wait for the newones or buy one of the SPV or motorola? I also read a lot of negative stuff about the smartphones, should i buy a smartphone at all???

thanks in advance!!

if depends on the type of person you are, if you a business person that requires a fully working and very reliable phone then no, a smartphone may not be for you... i am sure if you look round this forum the benifits will be clear to you!

p.s. in my opinion the E200 should be the one to go for....

I'm pretty new to smartphones,I've got an SPV.It has got some bugs in it but the features on it really make up for it.I dont use it for business at all just for pleasure and when you get the phone application unlocked theres a lot of pleasure to be had.

If you want a phone thats going to give you lots of options, features and customising that beats any other phone then go for it,choose the SPV E100 which is easy to application unlock.I've never used anything other than the SPV so wait for a few more replies before you rush out and buy anything

.Like the above post if youre a businessman looking for a 100% reliable phone thats going to serve you on a day to day basis then I'd consider other options.

The more information you give us the better advice we can give.do you want your phone for business or pleasure? Do you want to play games, listen to MP3s? Is a camera going to be useful to you? etc,etc

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies.. I'm a student and will use the phone for pleasure, but... it's important for me that outlook works fine. I send/recieve a lot of e-mails and some of them are very important. Also the agenda has to work good.

Other options like mp3, media player, games, camera(e200) are very cool, and i will certainly use them.

I heard the battery life is very poor, can i use some of these options for over an hour, make some calls and check my e-mail without changing my battery??

you would get a days use out of spv/e100's battery. would imagine it would be about the same as e200 without using bluetooth

sounds to me like you're a candidate for a smartphone but you want someone to tell you "yes,go out and buy the blah, blah, blah model" smartphones can do just about everything you want and probably more when you start to find out more about them. if you can afford to buy one give the E100 or E200 a go,if you dont get on with it you could always sell it locally or on ebay
