Guest frazzel Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 Yes I know this has already been posted somewhere, but i cant find the post. Does anyone have any idea on when we will get wifif support on sd cards?
Guest DMF Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 I think the wifi is via a SIDO unit.
Guest McHale Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 simple answer is, the Wi-Fi cards exist. The drivers do not. Those who make the Wi-Fi cards are working on the drivers. Wi-Fi works on the Samsung though so there is hope for the rest of the phones in the near future... -Mc
Guest smeg36 Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 There is some debate to whether or not the MPx200 has a SDIO slot. It seems that they may, but didn't want to pay for the use of the SDIO stamping. But we really don't know. The only Smartphone I have read for sure has a SDIO slot is the Samsung.
Guest frazzel Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Well come on Sandisk and the rest of the sd cards company's, hurry up as u will sell a hell of alot of them to us all!
Guest pisquee Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 As far as I know all the Smartphones have "SDIO", but not all of them have "SDIO Now". If I remember correctly, then with SDIO you need drivers, and with SDIO Now you do not.
Guest nedge2k Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 Whilst browsing throu my e200's reg i found a key named "WI-FI". I think its safe to assume we'll be getting it soon. I would post the reg path but my phone's been locked. Woke up this mornin, GPRS was on and phone wouldnt run apps! F**King orange.
