Guest fb Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Hi, I'm getting an error when pressing 1 to speed dial to my voice mailbox. Do you guys know where I can re-define it? Thanks, fb
Guest ferret Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Don't know if this is any help but ... SPV on Orange UK, HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Vmail Click Values and there's a value called SIMPhoneNumber1 which contains my voice mail number (+447973100123) Plus there's a VoiceMailStr if you want to change the name from Answer Phone to Voicemail or Wildfire etc ...
Guest Shuflie Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Settings - telephony - call options. Much easier if you're not too sure about editing the registry.
Guest samandiain Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Settings - telephony - call options. Much easier if you're not too sure about editing the registry. sorry to bring this to the top again, but i had a similar problem, and decided the best option was to delete speed-dial 1 and then re-asign it to the voicemail number. i deleted it ok, but apparantly speed-dial 1 is reserved, so i can't assign any number to it. Can i fix this by poking at the registry? I've been happily playing with PC reg settings for years, but where do i find regedit for the smartphone, and do i need to decert it first? Cheers, Iain
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 You only need to decert to use PHM Regedit if you are in the UK. How ever Speed dial 1 is not accessable in the registry so the only way to assign it is in the method above.
Guest bud951 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Is there a way to add a pause or delay after the voicmail number so it can auto type my password?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Don't think so, but I have never fully tested this though.
Guest Shuflie Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 You can add a 1 second pause by putting a p at the end of the number. If this isn't enough then keep adding more p's until you have a long enough pause. eg 123456ppp1234 would dial 123456 wait 3 seconds then send 1234 as DTMF tones.
Guest martin Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 Another way is to create another speed dial. Create a new contact. Enter name and dialup number - Use Menu, Add pause & Add wait. Click on name in contact list. Highlight number. Menu, Add speedial. Then you create as many dialups as you want :)
Guest trfiii Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Is there a way to enter my password into the voicemail section. Am i missing something, in my nokia i just added a few p's. i want to use speed dial 1 and have it enter my pass, if this isn't possible, it is a major flaw. I understand i can set it up under another number but then when i show voice mail on my screen and hit it it will still dial my voice mail without pass. cant believe nobody figured this out yet. TIA Tom
Guest mebobola Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 According to page 52 of the users manual, entering a p will enable a 3-second pause. Haven't tried it yet, but will. Good Luck.
Guest mebobola Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Yep, just tried it and it works. You have to make the change through Settings, Telephony. I am on the AT&T network.
Guest Shuflie Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 I don't have a password on my mailbox as I'm with orange but I have mine set up to automatically press 1 to collect new messages. See my two posts above, the first is how to edit the voicemail box and the second is how to delay sending DTFM tones after the number is dialled. Does this not work for you for some reason trfiii? It does for me whether I press 1 to get to the mail box or if I press the right softkey when it displays answerphone (i.e. a call comes in when I'm on the phone or when the phone is switched off)
