Email query with mpx200 and Microsoft Outlook

Hi

Maybe I was expecting too much, but I'm a little confused regarding the use of email on my lovely new phone.

I can send/receive mail fine on the phone itself, but when I sync up it seems to disable the mail options on the phone.

Outlook will happily copy anything from the outbox or sent mail to the PC, but not emails in the Inbox. I can have received several mails on the phone, but when it syncs they are not copied.

Emails that outlook receives into its inbox are copied to the phone though, whether they are already on there or not, which has lead to duplicate mails.

I had assumed you could use your email account on both devices, and the activesync would keep the data on each the same, but it seems like I have two options:

1) send and receive mail on the phone

or

:lol: read and write mail on the phone, but copy to from the PC to send and receive.

Is this how it is meant to be?

Hope someone can clear this up for me...

Unfortunately, that's pretty much how it is. I'd imagined the same thing when I first got my SPV 14 months ago - that I'd have a certain number of historic mails (like I could do on my palm) and yet be able to send and recieve too. You learn to live with it ;-)
