So how many photos can you store on the phone, or rather how large approximately is 1 photo? Are you able to transfer the photos onto a SD card and still allow contacts to have their photo shown when they call?

Depends on what your credit card company charges. Usually it's only a small fee though (10-20p). Although the site may allow you to pay in £'s at the checkout anyway.
