DUN connection when phone in cradle

I have the original SPV which i recently upgraded the ROM to the latest from orange website. i am also using activesync 3.7.1, ever since the upgrade of ROM (which was a nightmare by the way cos i only did it cos my phone was screwed but got it sorted in the end)

When ever i place my phone it its cradle and activesync starts i also get a DUn connection on my pC so my PC starts to dial out to my ISP.

I dont have the sync with server tick box checked and cant find any othere settings that would start a dial up ?

any thoughts would be greatfully appreciated
