Disconecting from orange

Hi,

Ive been reading in another part of modaco that if you go through to the Disconnections department via customer care (dial 150 then press, 6, 3), tell them that you're interested in leaving orange(make it sound like your serious), and they somehow manage to give you upgrades for free, double minutes, and extra texts (this all depends on who to speak to of course).

Anyway, I just wondered if anyone has phoned up this number, and got a SPVE100 or SPVE200 as a REPLACEMENT(with the £5per month insurance option) for their original SPV. Apparently orange are only supposed to give out like for like replacements (unless their out of stock), but after reading about this disconnection number, I just wondered if anyone has got a replacement of a better handset through this method???

i believe you need to be at the end of your 12 month contract... but... i have heard of people that have managed to get those as replacements but it a slightly different way.
