Guest Lisbon67 Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 I need some help with an idea I've had. I recently bought Fonix VoiceDial. It's a wonderful program, and picks up the correct name almost all of the time. I was sitting thinking last night, (usually a bad idea. Something always ends up broken!) when I thought that it would be good if VoiceDial could also be used to open apps as well as call numbers. I added a new contact with the name of one of the programs on my SPV, but instead of putting in a telephone number, I put in the path to the application concerned. Not surprisingly, all I got when I tried to "call" the program was an error message. And that's where you lot come in. Firstly, does anyone think this is possible, and secondly, how? As I said, it was just a thought. Any takers? Bob
Guest nedge2k Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 Sounds like great idea. Perhaps a link to WMP, PTV, PMVP etc to play files as well. Be awesome down the pub. Have you tried putting a path in like this: file://Storage CardProgram FilesPocket TVPockettv.exe or: "file://Storage CardProgram FilesPocket TVPockettv.exe" or: file://Storage%20CardProgram%20FilesPocket%20TVPockettv.exe Dont know if it'll work, worth a try though.
