Can you install the SmartPhone 2003 O/S on SPV, and E100 ?

I was just wondering if you can upgrade the o/s on the original SPV, and E100 phones...To SmartPhone 2003 o/s I have heard Orange had said NO...but we all know that phone companies are never a reliable source....let me know please!
