Guest Underdog Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 From the home page, select 'Contacts', select a contact with a mobile number. Select the 'SMS' entry for that contact. What should happen is that the SMS editor should open with the number to send it to already entered. On our 2 e200s (mine and the wifes) around 95% of the time we are dropped back to the home screen. Anyone else have the same problem? It might be worth letting Orange know about it, as sending an SMS from the Contacts is a real pain at the moment. Regards, Underdog.

Guest crimminsky Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 I think what is happening is that you're not closing the sms editor before trying again. make sure the editor is closed either by cancelling the compose or using task manger. HTH
Guest matt_hobson Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 yea, mine works fine unless i dont close it properly, then i just fall back to the homescreen. matt

HTH By jingo, I think you've got it! We were both just seeing whether we could get contacts in the 'TO' field automatically without actually sending an SMS. We were both just coming out of the editor by hitting the 'home' key. Still seems a bit silly to bomb back to the home screen, rather than take us to the editor. Thanks for the help guys, Underdog
