Guest jtsaint Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 I know this has been done before but cant find it and it was a while ago. So reallistically and I know all games arent the same blah blah but what would you pay for a good quality Smartphone game ( certified etc ) This will be very helpfull so please be honest !
Guest maxh2003 Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 :edit:  I'd pay the full $14.99 if the game was amazing - but I don't think there's a single Smartphone game worth that as yet, at least not IMO...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 Agreed and changed for "None - I am a miserable skinflint git"
Guest jtsaint Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 OK - didnt realsie. Dont you think we should also remove your post now then since it has been changed - otherwise the excercise seems a bit pointless since it highlights what was changed? Back to the poll
Guest midnight Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 i think a good place to start woiuld be to look at the games on handango.com. as you can see, one of the biggest selling game on smartphone so far (on handango) is toki tori at $12.99, so if you make a game of that quality then that is a good price to sell at, so basically look at the best selling, and judge the quality against price. And then you can look at these games to judge the price your game should be sold at to see what is acceptable in the eyes of the public, while still being competative (so long as you are realistic and honest with yourself)
Guest James Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 i have payed alot of money for smartphnoe games in the past but after realising there limitations (size+time to complete)) i would never spent more than about 8-9 squid on a game now...... roll on tomb raider!

Guest midnight Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 with the game toki tori you also get a help page in the form of a forum ( wonder when midnights help will come for your smartanoid ( ok its free but on my e200 i have problems cause of the small joy pad any updates in the pipeline ??? errr, thought croccy had mapped other keys to left and right aswell such as 1 and 3???? if not i'll suggest it i know the original smartanoid (for plus members) used either the joystick, number keys or softkeys. also, good thing is about smartanoid is its kind of exclusive to modaco, so just ask on here and we'll do what we can to help
Guest samo123_uk Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 If sites did pay pal as a payment option then i would pay around $4-$5.99! i would love to buy games for my e200 , but as far as i can see no sites accept Switch debit cards or take pay pal as an alternative . Edit : sorry trip-le posted somehow!
Guest exosyphen Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 We take both PayPal and Switch
Guest gameonthego Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 samo, You can get StarBlaster at www.gameonthego.co.uk - accepting paypal payments ( its automated ). It has now been reduced from $12.99 to $8.99 or a fiver. Too much fun for the price of two pints !
