Is it possible for an unlock code to not be available?

For a correct IMEI, can it ever be possible that an unlock code is unavailable from the Motorola code server?

Are the codes assigned, and loaded onto the server immediately after the phone is manufactured?

For those that have unlocked your MPx, what is the date imprinted on the back of your battery?

Yes, this appears to be the case with my MPx. I have tried three of the online services and it is currently is a repair shop with somebody looking for the unlock code.

No joy yet.
