does the headset profile problem occur with standard headpho

hi there

i am planning on buying state of the art koss headphones with a stereo 2.5mm adapter, however i do suffer (well my spv does) from the locking in headset profile whenever i stick my spv headphones.

so my question is: with the regular headphones (not the spv's) will the spv recognize normal headphone as a hands free and get locked in headset profile???

(imagine u have a phone call, u need to blow for 1 minute into the jack to pick up!)

The phone goes into headset profile when a small switch is pressed by putting a jack into the socket - the tip presses against the switch. Sometimes this switch fails to spring back when the headphones are removed - so as far as the phone is concerned the headphones are still there.

This is a hardware problem and can happen with any jack that is inserted into the phone -regardless of what is attached to the other end.

So to answer your question- your phone may well get locked into headset profile with your new headphones. :lol:

I would try not to use the headphones if I was you.
