Guest blakeboogie Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 After losing my Mpx200 on Saturday I recieved my replacement phone today. I deleted the old Activesync partnership and created a new one. I was then able to sync the phone with Outlook. Now the problem starts: As soon as I removed the phone from the USB cable and reconnect, Activesync cannot find the phone anymore. I didn't have this problem with my old phone as it would always re-sync when it was reconnected. The only way to re-sync is to reboot my PC with the phone turned on. Can anyone help, or has anyone else had the same problem ??? Thanks.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 I get this ocasionaly and I just swap USB ports to fix the problem. Activsync is known to be buggy and one day this may hopefully be sorted out.
Guest blakeboogie Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Thanks, I'll give that a try.
Guest dickweed1961 Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 yes me too, but changing USB didn't work. motorola couldn't help either. am now waiting for a replacment after an unfortunate accident.
Guest cortez Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 if you haven't done so, you might check your connection settings to be sure USB Connections are enabled. From the phone, Open active sync then Menu->Options->PC Settings. Make sure the Automatically start sync when connected using: option is checked and, just below this setting, make sure it says USB Default. You might also check to ensure that your PC's name appears under the "Connect To:" setting. From ActiveSync on your PC, File->Connection Settings, then make sure the "Allow USB Connection with this desktop" is checked. hope this helps..
