Hi there folks,

Does anybody know of an app that lets you organize your inbox? :-s

IE: move messages I received in my inbox and want to keep, to folders I set up on my phone?

I don't want to have to sync with outlook all the while, and besides it won't sync SMS etc.

I just want to be able to move say Joe Bloggs's email into a folder called friends on my phone, along with SMS or MMS.

If there's not an app out there, can someone please write one??????!!!!!! :D

It would be a great help to a lot of people I know.

Hello m8!

Welcome to the forum.

It would help initially to know what phone you have! There is an app called smart tweak, which has recently become available (free :D ) which allows you to manage messages from your PC desktop. Not sure if there are any apps to do this internally in the phone, but the e200 will let you move msgs around between folders.

Also, for future reference,a ? at the end of your thread title will always help if its a question! I read this initaially thinnking someone had come up with a brilliant new idea to organise my inbox! Just a tip.

I'm not sure if this will work with POP, but with IMAP you can create the folders you want on the server, and then when you sync up, it will grab the folders and display them under "folders" at which point i would imagine you could manually move things over to where you want to store them. I've really not played with that too much, but I did notice my IMAP folders where there. I'll expirement and let you know. What phone are you using?

Hi,

I think you may be missing the point.

I want set up folders on my phone, and move messages from the inbox on my phone, to the folders I have set up on my phone, without having to sync or use a pc.

Like, dare I say it.............a Nokia!

I have the SPV with the rom update.

Well ... you can't do that - unfortunately!

Lots of people have been begging for this feature for months, but there is no 3rd party proggy that can help you out, and it's not a built-in feature as well!

Unfortunately...

Great, so I am not on my own in wanting this feature.

It is such a simple but needed app that I can't believe that it's not part of the Smartphone make up, or that anyone hasn't made a 3rd party app that does it.

To anyone out there......we really need this! :D :( pretty please
