Guest sakkans Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 i want to ask a question to you about my phone and sd cards! today, i bought a 256mb sd card... when i insert and turn on my i-mate smartphone, phone asked me to format and i accept... after format my sd card capacity is 241 mb is this normal? 2) when i upload a file around 10-11 mb there is no problem but when i want to upload a 40-45 mb file (mpeg or zip -to take with me to school) upload process is starting but at %80-90 the process is restarting and i can't upload this big file... my sd card is a 256 mb sandisk and file is only 45 mb... is this normal or should i change this card with a this one from the seller... thanks a lot!
Guest squall Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 best advice would be to get a sd card reader for transferring files, they are only about £5-£10 and file transfer is alot quicker.
Guest Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 Does anyone know where I can get a program to low-level format my corrupted SD card. I have a 256MB card but only writes up to about 150MB after that it gets corrupted, a normal format does not solve the problem. cheers -steve
Guest aberg Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 first of all., That it tells you that you have a little less than 256mb is completely normal., dont worry  and yeah - deffently buy that card reader, you will not regreat it., believe me You can use Sp TaskManager to format your sd cars., :D have a nice day

Guest kalinte Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 2) when i upload a file around 10-11 mb there is no problem but when i want to upload a 40-45 mb file (mpeg or zip -to take with me to school) upload process is starting but at %80-90 the process is restarting and i can't upload this big file... I'm not really sure if its true but i read it here in modaco that there's a limit in IR upload capacity for the SPV.
