Guest az86blue Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Right, I got some midi files, put them in IPSM/Application Data/Sounds and found the filenames came up in Settings->Sounds-> etc. However when I try and play these files (as you do with ringtones such as Higher_plane, etc), the files only play the file Alarm2... Is this because you can't use spaces or odd characters for filenames? Why do they show but not play? Thanks
Guest mcwarre Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 I think that it only recognises wav files by default.
Guest az86blue Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Right, so how do you change midi to wav, and why on earth does my phone come with midi ringtones that actually work? Thanks for the quick reply,
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Although I don't have the Moto, my guess would be that your MIDI files are the wrong format - they need to be MID0 not MID1 or 2. You would need a converter and also possibly MIDIFixer to adjust the volume. You can get these programs via Google and they're usually free or trial versions. Also if you search the forum there a few threads dealing with this  I actually use Moto MIDIs on the E200 !
