Guest DancingMatt Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 OK, so I'm used to the SPV bugs but they're still frustrating and it's time to upgrade! Either the MPX200 or E200. I've read loads of posts on this. I've been trying to weigh up their specific differences in relation to some of the SPV's problems and the stuff it can do. I was trying to decide which one would be better, but from reading lots of posts I suspect I'm looking for which is least bad and most likely to be fixed :D so I’d really appreciate any info from you if you own the E200: 1) When you drop MP3s onto the phone in Explorer, does it keep them in the correct order? (They seem to always be reverse alphabetical or mixed up on my SPV!) 2) The E200 still forgets words you add to T9? I can’t believe that’s still going on… 3) When you write an SMS, and then it can't be sent, e.g. you've moved and the signal has gone, does it save it to drafts or still put it in the sent folder? (Which is really annoying because a) it's not sent and  you have to forward it and then delete all the header stuff argh :x ) 4) Does the GPRS every just say Dialling… and never actually connect? 5) Does it ever happily download one HTML webpage and then nothing you click on gets downloaded, it just “dials”, for no reason? 6) Is this right – when you select some email headers to download it often mixes up the headers and the bodies, so you delete messages you do want and download others? 7) Is the "go to" entering URLs part of IE still the laggiest thing in the world? I know you can clear the history, but it takes ages even with very few entries. 8) Does it always ActiveSync? Often I plug mine in the cradle and ActiveSync fires up but just ticks over, never actually starting or finishing the sync. 9) Are the stereo headphones long enough to avoid the short side always catching on things? I'm always ripping them out my ears because I'm sick of them slipping all the time… 10) How's the music performance? I don't just listen to dance music so I don’t need over the top bass, just a decent bass and treble – good sound, basically. If that's all too much to ask, then sorry, but please answer what you can. Would really appreciate it. Am I really going to trust Orange with another SPV model and MS with another Smartphone...? Help? :?: Really appreciate it DM
Guest peekie Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 you want to know alot well i will try to answer what i can for you as i have an E200 on the mp3's it goes a to z but you can have it in shuffle mode if you want or make your own playlist then it can be a,g,b ect but that takes time. i dont use the t9 i find it a pain in the backside iam english and i live in holland and sometimes i sms in dutch and the phone does not know the language unless the region ect is set there. mine goes to drafts on the sms side but as ive only sent an sms and lost the signal 2 times it might do otherthings ,same with mms they always go into draft as my signal sopmetimes is too weak for gprs with gprs i see nothing on dialing only on internet connecting ( when its looking for a site )and no problems i no of with the html emails download ok with my spv as ive got 3 email accounts and they all come in ok but you can set in the options to download the whole email the go to is a pain unless you have the keyboard and type the web address in active sync works ok sometimes a pain if you have emails in the list if you download them one time and delete them the sync comes up with a problem icon ( sometimes that is ) head phones seem long enough to me the phone does have blue tooth as well music sound is good as you can get remember is is only a phone and has a tiny speaker the only bad thing i cansay between the old spv ( which i still have is the photos in the original i think are better than the E200 but its a nice phone to use if they can improve the battery time then its great what cellphone called it phone of the year and they are normally hard on phones check out the magazine if you live in the uk hope this helps you
