Guest ump001 Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 Hi, can anyone help me access wap pages via my e100? i can get everything working fine e.g. internet, msn etc but cannot access any wap pages at all, have tried: http://wap.t-zones.co.uk - this leads to the html site, which is incorrect, even if i select the network to go via Wap network it loads html. wsp://wap.t-zones.co.uk - this does not work at all Has anyone in the UK got theres working?? if so can you tell me what settings you used. do i have to use any proxy settings? Pls help! Thanks.
Guest martin Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 do i have to use any proxy settings? In this case YES. A proxy server is not compulsory but it makes it easier for certain sites (like this one) to identify that you are using WAP access. Edit the GPRS connection and make sure it has 'Connects to: The Internet' Create proxy (I've used O2 proxy server) Description : Proxy The Internet, WAP Network, 193.113.200.195, WAP In IE (menu-connections-options) tick auto detect settings. Access wsp://wap.t-zones.co.uk and it should work (does on mine  ) Even worse are the WAP sites that detect the phone ID  If you find any very hard-to-get-to WAP sites (like yahoo WAP) then a program called WebWapSelect also proves helpful. When using this program I usually untick 'auto detect setting' and make 'Select Network:WAP network' to force the WAP connection.

Guest martin Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 It should work. I'm getting the WAP vesion OK. Force the WAP connection by unticking 'Auto detect settings' and making 'Select Network: WAP Network'. Access wsp://www.t-zones.co.uk and then Menu-Refresh. Posted from my SmartPhone! It should work.
