Guest jimbobskibobski Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 when i install the original one it doesn't let me
Guest iharkins Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I had this on my Orange SPV E100 recently (1.6 ROM) and it was because the Home Screen Layout I had selected had a default wallpaper named in the XML but I hadn't copied the default to my phone as I didn't like it. Instead, I'd copied a modified wallpaper with a slightly different name and selected that instead. No problem you might say, and so I thought? How wrong can you be! It appears that Smartphone 2002 performs a check to see if the default wallpaper for a given Home Screen Layout (or Colour Scheme for that matter too!) is there and if not it throws up the error you received! It didn't seem to matter that the wallpaper I'd selected actually existed either and the Home Screen wouldn't display properly until I'd copied the default wallpaper to the phone and rebooted it! Weird eh? :?
Guest adi116 Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 looks like you did not install first the original cab file. click here It happened to me when I overwritten the original .xml file with the revised xml file (by carvas). You will notice that in the revised xml, the background image path is StorageApplication DataHome - What I did was to modify the "Storage" to "IPSM".
