Guest firestarter Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 ...is the only way to put it back to normal speed is hard reset? I really don't wan't to do that cos I would have to do all unlock procedure and put all soft back... it would take ages to do all that... Any suggestions? Regards, firestarter
Guest zeta101 Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 First check that you havent installed a ton of things on the phones memory (instead of the storage card)...when u install stuff you get an option where to put it (on the phone or on storage card) so try to remember where u put most of your stuff. Second, if you havent already get a program like xbar, this will allow you to close programs and free up memory quickly, its possible that part of the reason is cos you have a bunch of things open in the background.
Guest firestarter Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 I got SP Task Manager EN and I have checked I do not run any extra soft only 2-3 things from start up. So it must be a mest up registry? My phone freeze up for few sec even when I write text in the sms message...
Guest zeta101 Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 do u have lots of things installed on the phones memory instead of the SD card?
Guest firestarter Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I couldn't say what that many but yes there are few softs and backgrounds.
Guest broeren79 Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 i strongly suggest you de-install these backgrounds and progs, and re-install them to SD-card. Really speeds up your machine. And besides... a hard reset once in a while is really recommended. Just like with your pc. I usually re-install my windows once a year, just for a good clean up....
Guest evilminky Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 by deleting all files in MAPI file in ispm or deleting all ur sms sent/ inbox this can speed phone up if uve got loads of messages.
Guest MonkeyJug Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 I usually re-install my windows once a year, just for a good clean up.... i usually do mine once every couple or 3 months...
