Ok,

Please tell me if you have got an SPV within the last few days, and where from!!! [prefferably online].

I ordered my SPV on the 26th November, and STILL havent got it.

Im cancelling my order tommorow and ordering from somewhere else that has it in stock, that is if you can all help me in finding somewhere!!!!

As you can imagine im *very* annoyed at having to wait 22 days and still not have my phone!!

Woah - you're very patient. Who did you order it from? You could always cancel and order it from Orange direct, or through CPW - once you confirm they have it in stock. I had to wait about two weeks for a replacement direct from orange, but i got that over 2 weeks ago now...

Alternatively, what about ordering from the people who are supporting the site?

Talking concepts are also too expensive unfortunetly. Well not like they are expensive, but in comparision to all the free deals they are :D otherwise i would order from them.

Hi moony, i got an email from [smalltalk.co.uk], they will be getting 2 deliveries in the next 48 hours, they reckon they should have a couple left over after completing all their back orders, it's worth a try.

Try ordering from Orange direct. I had an order with MobileRepublic. They quoted 29th Dec. I phoned Orange yesterday (17th) and they have said within 3 days... We shall have to see....

Be patient, like you I placed a back order on 26th November, mine was with AVRMOBILES.CO.UK. I finally got the call yesterday saying they'd got my phone in and it should be with me this morning. It looks as though stocks are finally getting through. If you cancel and try somewhere else, you may just end up at the back of their backorder queue and be back to square one.

if you find any in stock anywhere (even if its the dodgiest website in the world that you usually wouldn't touch with a bargepole), get CPW to do a pricematch. http://www.a1comms.co.uk/ had some in stock for free on the 200min talkplan and CPW pricematched it straight away

I ordered a SPV from mobilerepublic.com. They kept on delaying and saying that none were in stock. I then phoned carphone warehouse who did a price match for me against the mobilerepublic and i had my spv the very next day. This is about 3 weeks back.

Has anybody actually received any SPV's from mobilerepublic.com?

Phone CPW (0808 100 9250). One Tuesday I did some hunting on this forum and uk.telecoms.mobile and read that Orange had got some stock through to retailers. Ordered mine Tuesday 2pm from CPW, pricematched to TheMobileRepublic's free on OVP Anytime 200, got it yesterday 1.30pm! I've done loads of looking around on the net and am very pleased with my deal. Plus they sent me a jiffy bag to return my old phone and get £10 cheque and a £10 voucher...

I've got an order with MobileRepublic on the 120 min tariff, CPW said that they'd only do the SPV for £99 and there's was no discussion!

Incidentally I've been told Dec 29th for delivery by MR...

update...

LOL - decided that the guy I spoke to might have been an idiot, so I phoned them back.... spoke to a different guy who was more helpful and they price-matched to MR on 120min tariff, my free SPV should be with me tomorrow!

best cancel that order with MR now ... :D

I've finally got sorted as well!

Gave a company called ETC Communications a phone this morning.

Basically I told her my mobilerepublic story. I then asked if she could check the stock levels of their SPV's.

She said "We have LOTS of them in stock".

GREAT!! So I ordered it over the phone with her. 30 mins later she phoned back saying that all checks have been done and my phone had been despatched by special next day delivery and it would be with me by noon :D

So this time tommorow i'll be on here posting loadsa questions :(

I ordered mine from www.mobileshop.com and it took about 10 days to come. I dont think they have any in stock right now but do check the site and also check www.mobiles.co.uk They've got some good deals and are giving away those MINI RACERS for free with every order.

This seems only to be a "UK" problem - walked into an Orange shop in DK 2 days ago - 10 min. later left the shop with the SPV in my pocket. And if I might ad - I am in heaven :D

Try Mobilesuk.net. I ordered on Monday after speaking to one of their very helpful staff. I was told that they were out of stock and expected a delivery this week. The price was £10.99 on an Orange OVP 02 100 tariff. Got a call Wednesday to tell me there was a problem...but promised it would be with me Friday. Got another phone call today (Thurs) to tell me that the phone was dispatched this afternoon. So...we'll see what tomorrow brings, but I was well impressed by the customer service and the helpful attitude of the staff.

As an aside, I took a print of the offer and wandered around town trying to get the Link and CPW to price match. 'Buy it from them' was the attitude...and a couple of salesmen at the link were *very* keen to get a look at the print out I had waved at them..keen to place their own order I'm sure!

ps what a great place for info on the phone this is! Keep up the good work all you techies and gadget freaks :wink:

lol as most of you know from my other thread i finally got my spv on friday. Because I ordered from someone else on thursday, i [obviously] cancelled my order with mobilerepublic, that canellation went right thru and i was happy..

Guess what arrived on my doorstep this morning?

An spv from mobile republic!!! :D

bloody idiots, well basically they have cost me enought time (and money!) thru there crap, so i've told them if they want it back they can send someone around to collect it.

Xanadu. Not wishing to flame you, but - Try ringing Orange Direct first!!!!! They HAVE got some in stock and they delivered mine in three days (arrived 20/12/02). You cannot order from the web-site. You have to ring them up to order!!! Very pleased with my purchase (and yes it was a new phone not a refurbished one)

Well, I was just passing information on from what others have said.

Anyway the Orange website, still says NO STOCK.

I still don't have mine from my supplier due to stock shortages, so I am not going to have a happy christmas... lol :x
