Guest Stella Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Hi received a new e-100 handset from orange the otherday and in the shortcuts to the Apps I seem to have one to a stopwatch! never had that on my last one, anyway the point is it dosen't work it says something about target not found, so my questions are a can I permenantly remove it or does anybody have it? thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Interesting never heard of that before, was it a new (bought) phone or a replacement handset? If it was a replacement there could be a chance of it being secondhand but it should have been wiped etc before you recieved it.
Guest Stella Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 No no the handset was sent by orange and it looked brandnew so not sure either... but still wondering how to remove it from the shotcuts menu any ideas?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Yep back to the question, the shortcut if it's in the Programs menu can be found in IPSMWindowsStart Menu just go there using Activsync and delete the shortcut in question.
Guest Stella Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 thanks for the advice but It doesn't appear to be inthere, this Icon show's up on the home screen between SmartExplo and IE but not when I look in the StartMenu folder!!! do you have any other ideas? thanks in advance for any help rgs
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Shame - i'd like a stopwatch app, something with multiple countdown timers would be good. Would make sure I never burn anything in the kitchen and that I put things in at the right time!
Guest Will Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 so it's shown on the homescreen? cool, can you tell us which homescreen, and if possible take a look in the .hme.xml and see where it's pointing? Will
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Another idea to help us out is to have a play with SmartSS from www.monolithix.org this is a screen capture app, if you could take a screen shot of this shortcut and post it, we may be able to identify it.
