Guest craigblade Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Hi, I got my latest bill recently and I have £8 of charges for using the internet - however, I have free wap and have been really careful to only use mobile sites. Unfortunately, I think what has happened is that when I have gone on to a site such as the Orange WAP home page, I have then clicked onto links taking me to non-wap sites (and its not obvious that you are doing this). Does this sound true do you think, or have orange just charged me wrong? If so, do you think orange would give me a refund for the internet charges if I complained about this? craig
Guest martin Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 What settings do you have in Settings-Data Connections and IE ? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest craigblade Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I have orange gprs for internet connection, and orange gprs for wap connection. If I was to just put orange wap down for these two settings would that GUARANTEE that i only access wap sites, and don't inadvertently wander off into non-wap sites? craig
Guest fitz Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Just use an application called WebWapSelect, it will fool your SPV in thinking that it is a T68i and will use WAP connection not internet......it works for me!
